My Philosophy

Food as the starting point, not an afterthought. Nutrition plays a powerful role in health promotion and disease prevention, influencing the function of every cell and system in our bodies. Despite its well-documented influence on our health and lifespan, nutrition is rarely a part of most healthcare practitioners' toolkits. L.A. Functional Nutrition remedies this by bringing food and lifestyle change to the forefront of your wellness strategy. 

Root cause solutions over bandaids. My practice uses a functional approach, which aims to repair the cause of your symptoms rather than teaching you how to manage the symptoms. What does a root cause approach look like? Stamping out what's driving issues like systemic inflammation, hormone imbalance, or insulin resistance as opposed to prescribing meds to mask their symptoms.
